Biography
Randall Belmont Strickland was born on July 14, 1917, in Four Oaks, North Carolina. (1) Strickland held a variety of jobs related to the automobile industry, including working for a gasoline filling station and the American Oil Company. (2) By 1944, he worked in the White House Garage, although his role and duties are unclear. (3) He may have served in the U.S. Armed Services, as was common among White House Garage staff at this time. The length of his tenure at the White House is currently unknown, but by 1950, he was recorded as a gas station attendant in Wheaton, Maryland. (4) Randall B. Strickland died on August 25, 2010 in Smithfield, North Carolina. (5)
