- Information about Elizabeth Warner’s life outside of the President’s House is currently unknown. Elizabeth began working for George Washington at the President’s House in Philadelphia in 1792. She appears in household accounts, earning $5.00 per month. She worked as a housemaid, replacing previous maid, Jane Imhoff.1 In 1793, she appeared as “Eliz Warner” earning a quarter’s wages of $15.00. There is another woman listed once in 1793, Eliza Warner. She is likely same person as Elizabeth Warner. Elizabeth last appears in household records in October 1793.2
