- John H. Miller was born on June 14, 1901 in Walkersville, Maryland. (1) Miller worked as a chauffeur and automobile mechanic for the U.S. Post Office. As early as 1929, he was detailed to the White House Garage. (2) He continued to work there for the Hoovers and the Roosevelts, and is documented on staff through at least 1942. (3) Further information about his life is unknown at this time.
