- Thomas Bradley briefly worked for George Washington in Philadelphia. He appears in one record related to Washington’s household in August 1793. He was paid $14.17 for “tinning kitchen utensils,” or coating utensils with a thin layer of tin.1 There is little information about Thomas Bradley’s life outside of his work at the President’s House in Philadelphia. However, a man from Philadelphia with the same name from Philadelphia served as a private in the American Revolution from 1775-1782. It is possible this is the same individual.2
