- In 1944, the White House staff roster listed Hilman Stacy Furr as an engineer in the Residence and West Wing. (1) He appears in no other known staff lists. As such, further information about his life and work at the White House is scarce.

(2) The only identified individual by that name appears to have lived and worked as a boiler engineer in Mississippi throughout this period. The similar nature of these positions makes it possible that this is the same Hilman Stacy Furr, but further information about his connection to the White House is unclear.
