Biography
Norman Scott Ingram Sr. was born on June 10, 1902, in Washington County, Maryland. (1) Ingram worked as a carpenter in the region surrounding Washington, D.C., and from at least 1943 to 1944, he worked in the carpenter shop in the White House. (2) Further details about his life and career are scarce; a 1958 D.C. city directory lists his occupation as “carpenter” but gives no information about his workplace. (3) Norman Ingram died on November 6, 1964, and was buried at Parklawn Memorial Park and Menorah Gardens in Rockville, Maryland. (4)
